Very nice tattoo. I love the colors and shading. I feel it would be a bit more expressive if the leaves had some individuality to them - some curled at the edges, some with curved petiole, in other perspective than just a straight on view. Other than that, it's wonderfully bright, vivid, and festive.

I thought the same as =baq-stock...that the leaves could have used some different colors and maybe a bit of variation in shape, but it's still really nice work. It's not often you post color pieces. I look forward to seeing the daughter's one!

you have a good point, but i showed her pix of leaves with all different colors (like autumn leaves) and she insisted on deep n dark and no light colors. she initially wanted REAAAALL dark plum - almost black - color and i had to talk her out of that! she didnt want any turned or curled either. i should have done one or two turned at more of an angle instead of all straight on though. that would have added a little more variety.

i showed her pix of leaves with all different colors (like autumn leaves) and she insisted on deep n dark and no light colors. she initially wanted REAAAALL dark plum - almost black - color and i had to talk her out of that! she didnt want any turned or curled either. i should have done one or two turned at more of an angle instead of all straight on though. that would have added a little more variety. im kinda pissed now that i didnt vary them a tiny bit more. oh well. the daughters tattoo is done now too, but i still have to do some shadows. those have a little more variation - a few curled leaves, color variety, but they too are kinda the same. they did it as a joint project so they both wanted pretty much the same look and these were the directions they gave me. oh well. ill learn more for next time. the second and third time always comes out better cuz you learn from the first.

thanks. i realize mow thats its alittle toooo simple, but thats how they really wanted it. i should have urged a little more though.

nah!!it´s really good!sometimes simple things are the best one!!imagine in 20 years this tattoo will still looks good only because of the simplesness!!i´m no erxpert but...don´t worry
